Sean Blodgett 1

Actor Sean Blodgett will be featured in the upcoming holiday episode "Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa" as a CSI Tech. The Monk Fun Page correspondent Agnieszka Wojczyk did a little email interview with Sean last Friday and here are hiw answers —

Hi there. Thank you so much for your interest in my career and projects. So here goes with the answers...

How did you get your role in Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa?

My incredible manager, Eileen O'Farrell got me the audition. I went into the casting office and read for one of the casting directors. He liked my audition and invited me to read (audition) for the producers later in the day. I returned at the appropriate time and had a fantastic meeting with the producers and casting folks. I performed the scene for them and a few days later I received the phone call from my manager that I had booked the role and would be shooting in a couple of weeks.

Who do you play?

I play a CSI TECH Medical Examiner who tells Monk information on how the victim died.

How long you were on the Monk set?

I worked one day and was there for about 8 hours.

Did you meet main characters played by Tony Shalhoub, Traylor Howard, Ted Levine etc?

Yes. My dialogue was with Tony and the scene included Traylor.

Did you meet other guest stars from this episode like Tina Kapousis, Sarah Colonna, Jeff Clarke?

They may have been there that day but I did not work with them directly.

What can you tell me about this episode?

Due to confidentiality I cannot reveal episode details. However, when I read the script I laughed out loud. The writers are absolutely incredible and dynamic.

How it's to work with Randall Zisk?

Fantastic. Great director. Relaxed, focused, and hard working.

Did you watch Monk earlier before you got the role?

I had seen an episode or two, but have always heard amazing things about the show, and I love Tony's work.

What do you think about the Monk series?

Love it. It is extremely well written, performed, and entertaining.

Do you know when this episode will be on broadcast?

Sometime in November/December. I should know the actual date soon.

Where you played before?

I have been a professional actor and entertainment professional for over 12 years. I have done film, television, theatre, voiceovers, commercials, and industrial films. My first television appearance was in a show called Sisters.

I have played roles on Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, The Nine, Baywatch Nights, California Dreams, and others. I can often be seen performing in interactive shows that include improv and comedy in Southern California.

Thanks so much for your interest in my work, I really appreciate it. I wish you all the best.

Sincerely,
Sean Blodgett

Agnieszka
