We arrived at The Sportsmens Lodge. We looked in the area where they

usually hold the GH Luncheon. And indeed the signs indicated there was

a GH Luncheon going on that evening; too bad we were looking for the

Port Charles dinner. So we thought we'd wander over to the lobby of the

hotel to see if there was any information there. An ongoing wedding

forced us to detour and go by the pool. As we were passing by we noticed

a crowd of people around the pool not in bathing suits. They were

gathered around two guys. Their backs were towards us so we couldn't

tell who they were. We guessed that they were soap stars and asked the

girl hanging on the pool fence with a camera, who they were. Just as she

told us it was Nolan North, he turned around. He was with an ex-soap

actor, Marshall Hilliard, (ex-Hart, Guiding Light).

The girl we had asked also informed us that Ingo Rademacher, (imagine

breathy excitement here) was in the hotel. She had ridden on the elevator

with him. She did warn us that we shouldn't go off and look for him. Not

to worry. We were far more interested in seeing Nolan North, especially

since we were lugging around a heavy set of updates for him and this was

the perfect opportunity to unload them.

So we went into the pool area and stood in the half-formed line in front of

Nolan. There weren't many people in the line, but it went very slowly

because Nolan was taking the time to talk to each fan individually. We

met some fans we knew in line and chatted. This was when we heard that

Kin Shriner, Jon Lindstrom and Lynn Herring would not be attending the

festivities that evening. Rats, now how would we get Jon's Top Ten Lists

to him? Nolan commented that all these people better not forget him that

night and only pay attention to Michael Dietz

Finally we got up to the front of the line. We handed Nolan the Friday

Updates. He recalled receiving the last set at the American Cancer

Society Benefit. He flipped through it and commented that we put a

lot more work into this than they did. He said that he'd had trouble getting

to the web site these were on and we gave him some directions. (That's

right, he's on-line, so be nice when you talk about him.) We took a couple

of pictures with him.

Information Please!

Much as we would have enjoyed hanging around Nolan all afternoon, we

moved on. We did a turn around the Lobby, but found no information,

and figured the GH thing must actually be the PC thing. We went back to

the banquet rooms. There still weren't more than a couple people in line.

We didn't feel like standing up in line for forty-five minutes, for the same

seats we'd have anyway, so we found a couple of empty chairs at a table in

the hall and sat down. It was an amazing transformation; suddenly we

became an information booth. Fortunately we knew the basic things

necessary. The bathrooms are right upstairs. Yes that is the line for the

Port Charles Fan Club dinner. Ingo Rademacher has left the building. We

did preface our information with a disclaimer that we weren't officially

connected with anything. Then we hit pay dirt. George Alavarez (Garcia)

with his son Kyle, came up and asked for directions. He stumped us. We

knew there was a green room, but the only direction we knew was right

through that line of rabid PC fans. He braved the line.

Christine, a friend from RATSA, approached our impromptu information

table. Christine was officially the last person to actually get a ticket. She

got it so late that they didn't even have time to mail it to her. So she was

wondering where she'd go to pick up that ticket. Since it had dwindled we

all got into the Registration line. (Put a closed sign up on the information

booth.) We got our packets, which included flyers for various fan clubs,

and a Baldwin family photo (Lee, Gail, Karen, Serena, and Scotty). We

were at table fifteen. Christine had to wait to get her ticket, but we urged

her to get a seat at table fifteen. We walked into the room and then went

back to suggest to Christine that she try and get something closer. We

were at the back of the room. (Though the room was small in comparison to

where they held the GH Luncheon.) Christine managed to get a seat at

the only table further away, sixteen. We chatted with our tablemates who

were from places like New Hampshire, Maryland, Georgia, Vermont and two

who were local. One of them had been sending two hundred Christmas

ornaments a year to General Hospital.

After the salads were served, the actors were introduced. Nolan North

(Chris) came out to do the introductions. In attendance were Sarah Aldrich

(Courtney), George Alavarez (Garcia), Susan Brown (Gail), Jeffrey

Byron (Boardman), Pat Crowley (Mary), Michael Dietz (Joe), Lisa Ann

Hadley (Julie), Ron Hale (Mike), Jennifer Hammond (Karen), Peter

Hansen (Lee) Vanita Harbour (Dara) Anastasia Horne (Lark), Colton

James (Neil), Jay Pickett (Frank) and Julie Pinson (Eve). Nolan had a

particularly enthusiastic welcome for Michael Dietz. He pretended to be a

crazed fan and leapt from the stage into Michael's arms.

Everyone sat down for the main course. During that Lynn Herring made

a brief appearance. She had just gotten off the plane, and had been out of

town because there had been a death in her family. She couldn't stay long.

She spoke about how much she appreciated us all coming. She had

brought along some Nurses' ball T-shirts that we're later raffled off. Then

she had to leave right away. We were all very pleased that she managed

to come at all.

Since there was still an empty chair at our table, we had Christine come

over and join us. Some things were raffled off, and people at table

sixteen were very lucky. Table fifteen was not. The General Homicide

book. (Really the Star Trek novel "Warped") autographed, was raffled off.

We didn't win that.

After dinner the actors all gathered on stage for the Q and A, except for Michael

Dietz, who seems to have wandered out of the room. Nolan had gotten a hold of

the microphone again, and said "Paging, Michael Dietz, Michael Dietz." The

audience was asked to line up if they wanted to ask a question. The first question

was for "Gail and Lee".

"I'm a grandmother, and I'm here with my granddaughter whose been a soap fan

since she was five years old, Kristina. I have a question for you as Grandparents,

and I know you're very good grandparents, but why the hell didn't you stop and

pick up Serena on the way over?" The crowd laughed at this question.

Susan Brown answered. "We would have, if could have. But she and her family

are on vacation and they've gone back to Indiana. She said to send her love and

she'd be here in a shot had she been in town. There's a wedding back at their

home where her real Grandma is.

This came as news to Peter Hansen. "I'm very glad you said that, because I didn't

know that."

Nolan piped up. "It's actually a lie. Carly Schroeder's actually thirty-six years

old. She works down at the Hyatt Regency, downtown L.A.. She sings in the

nightclub. We're trying to get her to quit smoking. It'll stunt her growth."

The next question was for Wendy Riche. (Actually most of the questions were for

her.) "My question is concerning the set. Jon Lindstrom and Lynn Herring live in

the Lighthouse. Correct? Before when Anthony Geary's character lived there,

their front door was on the right side. Now their front door is on the left side."

Wendy replied. "There are two sets for the Lighthouse one is larger, one is

smaller. When we did Port Charles we needed a smaller set. And what we did is

we designed the smaller set that had the entrance on the left. So that room, as

you'll notice does not have the staircase, because it's another room."

"That's why she's the executive producer," Nolan put in. "I certainly didn't know

that. What is the Lighthouse? Hold on, hold on. She wants to answer that." He

hands the microphone back to Wendy.

She said firmly, "Watch the show."

"I'm gonna sit down now." Nolan said meekly.

The next fan said to Nolan, "It was really nice of you to stand up by the pool all

that time this afternoon." The crowd cheered. Dave from Michigan then asked.

"It's pick on Wendy night. I actually don't have a question, but I wanted to plant a

couple of seeds." Wendy said he could as long as they weren't story line

suggestions. "The first one is I've been enjoying the "Music of General

Hospital" release, the CD. And I was hoping to recommend a second release with

pre-nineties music from General Hospital? Including the original theme song, the

one that was used until the Dave Koz change. The other thing is, a lot of us have

been enjoying the compilation tapes; Lovers on the Run, etc. And I think a

compilation tape of Nurses' Balls. " The cheering drowns out the end of the

statement.

Wendy answered. "If it were up to me, you'd have it in your hands. It's

complicated. There are rights, there are deals, there are lots of issues around it. I

would love you to have it. They're working on it. We're talking about it."

"Hello, my name is Christine," said the next person with a question.

Nolan was enthusiastic. "Hi, Christine, how you doin' tonight. Whaddya say?

How's your mom? Good?"

Christine said, "Actually my mom is dead."

Nolan was embarrassed. "I'm sorry." As he told her later, he really did think she was

someone else whom he had seen earlier with her mother.

"That's okay," Christine said generously.

"I will answer any question you have," said Nolan. "Is it for me?"

"My question is... I guess it's to Wendy too. I've been enjoying the mystery and

finding out about the events in General Homicide. I was wondering if, like they

did with Robin's Diary, they could publish General Homicide."

"Another great idea," said Wendy. "It takes a lot of time to do something like that,

and the Robin's Diary; one of the writers Judith Pinsker, who wrote with Claire. I

loved it and I know all of you loved it. It took a lot of time and was very difficult

for them to do and to do the show. So when we started this we didn't think we'd

have time when we first began the story. But we're talking about that too."

"My name's Christina and I have a question. First of all is Lisa Ann Hadley the

girl on Debt?"

Lisa replied. "I am. It was a weak moment. It was a very weak moment."

"What was the question again, please?" Nolan asked.

"I asked if Lisa Ann Hadley was the girl they yanked up by the neck on the game

show Debt on the Lifetime network."

Nolan saw yet another opportunity for comedy. "Hi everybody, welcome to the

big show, I'm Wink Martindale. Do you recognize that face?" He points at Lisa

Ann. "Wow."

Lisa Ann said, "Only after a few cocktails would I ever admit that to you. It was

a desperate moment. No it was actually really fun to do. It was just one of those

things that we all do, and say oh great it's still out there, and I'm still flying and

winning money."

The fan had a second question. "The other thing is why haven't we seen Mike

lately?"

Ron Hale answered that one. "Why haven't we seen Mike lately?"

"Well, you know, Mary's been with somebody else around town. Where have you

been?"

"You have to ask Mary about that," said Ron.

"You see my theory is that Mary is the killer." said the fan. The crowd

shrieked with laughter. Pat Crowley seemed to appreciate that.

"I really don't have an answer for that," said Ron. "You know, I show up at the

Recovery Room. Plus, you know, I've been going back and forth between both

shows."

"We need to see you more," said the Fan. The crowd roared in agreement.

"Thank you very much," Ron said graciously.

"I'm almost done," said the Fan with many questions. "Is there a chance that

Vanita might sing this evening." The crowd clapped encouragingly.

"Is there a chance?" Nolan asked.

Vanita seemed surprised and touched to be asked. "I really don't think there's a

chance. Thank you though. I didn't prepare. That's me. I didn't prepare. I would

have if I'd known anybody had wanted to hear me sing. Thank you."

"The very first time you sang the Angel song," the fan informed her, "I had tears,

it was so moving." The crowd applauds.

"Thank you," said Vanita.

The next fan came up. "I love the show. I love all you guys up there, but Eve is

my favorite character."

"Thank you, thank you," said Julie Pinson.

"And I know I'm not supposed to ask Wendy a question, but I've been trying to

get a resume on the ABC lot for Production Assistant on one of your shows. How

do you do that?"

"You send it to Shelly Hunnitbaum (sp?), this lady right here, care of Port Charles

on the lot." Wendy told her.

"Is there a chance. Are there any openings right now?" the fan asked.

"There are no openings right now," said Wendy. "But we need people who love

us."

"The General Homicide Killer," Nolan commented, "Can take care of people

leaving. Not that it's me. I don't know."

The fan had started to walk back to her table. "Hold on," said Nolan, "Kristina."

Julie Pinson had an answer for her. "Hey where'd she go? I wanna say something.

There's always a chance. That's why we're all sitting up here today. Always a

chance."

A fan from Fremont asked the next question. She said that everyone one there

was proud of Julie Pinson. (Where's she from apparently.) Julie asked where she

was from in Fremont. "Irvington." Julie said she went to Mission. (We're lost

with these particular geographical references.) "Yeah, cool. I did a few plays in

Irvington, way back when."

"My daughter goes to Irvington," said the fan.

"She does? Okay. You remember way back when, when Mission and Irvington

were doing plays together? Back when I was young."

"My question is, when is Scott going to lighten up and take Eve back?"

"Yeah, you know, that's what I want to know," Julie declared. "Don't you feel

sorry for me?" The crowd yelled yes. "Well I hope soon. Because I love Scotty. I

do. But I honestly don't know."

The next fan had a question for Julie Pinson too. "Who kisses better? Chris or

Scott?"

"Definitely Nolan," said Julie. "Because he's here."

The next fan came up. "Hi, first of all I want to say I love the show. Keep up the

great work. I also have a question for Julie Pinson. Are you and Kin Shriner

dating in real life?"

"No," Julie said firmly. "Kin and I get along really well. We do a lot of things

together, as well as with other people in this. We're all very close and if there's a

party we're all there. I was a little bit upset about that rumor, because it's

completely not true. Now I know what it's like to be in the public eye. It's not true

at all, but I love Kin, he's great."

"We're dating," Nolan joked. "That's not true. I have a question for Wendy. When

is Chris going to get a woman? Oh did you see that? She went. (*shrugs shoulders*).

List of priorities Chris' love life." He indicates that it's way down on the list.

"My name's Jim and I'm from Michigan. I've been watching your parent show for

thirty years. I love it. And I want to say happy Anniversary to all of you. I love

you all even more. The main question I have is on the nurses' station set when do

you use the stairs and when do you use the elevator? Where do those stairs go."

"Who would like to answer?" Nolan asked. "Jennifer? She runs up those stairs

quite a bit."

Jennifer Hammond said, "It's just like any other building, it goes up to the

seventh floor."

"The other wing doesn't have that," the fan pointed out. (Sure it does, that's where

Tony caught Bobbie kissing Damian.)

"Doesn't have a staircase?" asked Jennifer.

"It goes to Nolan's dressing room." Michael Dietz commented.

"It's just a different orientation of the building, I think." said Jennifer. "Is that a

pretty good answer."

"It's the other end of the stairs to the Lighthouse," Nolan joked.

"This question is for Vanita Harbour. We enjoy your singing on the show, and I'd

like to know what your professional training is."

Vanita replied, "I have a bachelor's degree from Prinsivallia (SP? in Pittsburgh)

University in musical theatre. So that's my background, musical theatre mostly. I

went to an Arts High School as well. I was a dance and drama major. Actually I

didn't sing at all in High School, I danced. So that's my background. And thank

you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the singing."

"My name is Robin from Cincinnati. I want to apologize to Nolan, because I

made him choke over something I said earlier."

"She made water come out my nose," Nolan confirmed.

Robin said, "I wanted to thank everybody for coming tonight. This is a great way

to start off the weekend. Thank you for all of your hard work. I know starting a

new show must be difficult. I never thought I could make another place in my life

for Soap Opera. I watch two besides Port Charles, and you guys made it so easy

to fall in love with all your characters and all your story lines. I just want to thank

you all."

Nolan said, "We've got a question for you. What other two Soaps do you watch?"

"I watch General Hospital, and I've watched Another World for seventeen years,"

she replied.

"Security!" said Nolan. "Security!"

"They don't compete against your show." Robin said helpfully.

"You know what?" said Nolan. "They're next on the list. Oh yeah, you can laugh

now, lady who makes the water come out of my face, but your show's going down,

you and Diego, or whatever."

"I wanted to ask Julie, I mean Lisa Ann. I'm sorry, I said the wrong name." Robin

apologized. "I know your name I just said the wrong one. I wanted to know if you

actually got to meet Tom Cruise when filming Jerry MacGuire."

"No, I didn't," Lisa Ann said sadly. The crowd groans. "I know. My mom was

disappointed. My Dentist was disappointed. I got Cameron Crowe. I got his EP,

but no Tom. But Cameron was pretty cute and he's a Seattlelite so that makes

things good."

The next fan stepped up. "I have a question for Detective Garcia, who can never

catch the right guy. What I'd like to know is, you have a lot of time on both

General Hospital and Port Charles lately with the two murders. How do you as an

actor keep them straight?"

"I just take it one day at a time." said George.

"Have you ever been tempted to start talking about the Cassadines and Katherine

on Port Charles and vice versa?"

"We've got cops coming out of the woodwork. We've got Mac, we got Taggert,

we got V, and we got Vanita, who sings too. So I'm basically concentrating on

the General Homicide murders. I can guarantee you... I won't get 'em." George

joked. "But I did catch my first criminal... Frank's Dealer."

"I'd like to clear something up, real quick" said Nolan. "Mac is actually the

Commissioner of the Port Charles Police Department. Vanita is the D.A. and

George and I going to get together and watch the show. Go ahead, sorry"

The next question was "Where is Mitch Longley tonight?"

"Mitch?" said Nolan, "Oh, you know what, I sent Mitch to Laguna. Because

there's no need to have Dr. Harmon here. Honestly, I talked to Mitch this past

week and I have no idea where he is. Just really not sure. You know, Mitch is a

strange breed. No, he's a wonderful guy, and I told somebody earlier today the

story. The last Seinfeld episode was a major point in my life and Mitch came over

to my apartment to have a little party to watch the last Seinfeld. And somebody, a

big fan of the show, saw us together and just freaked. "What are you doing? You

two are mortal enemies." He's a wonderful guy and we're all sorry he couldn't be

here. He's out of town. I've been told."

This was supposed to be the last question, but they changed their minds and let

the remaining two people, (one of them from our table) ask their questions.

"I also have a question for Garcia. When in the world are they ever going to find

a love life for you?"

"They are," he joked. "It's with Chris Ramsey." After the laughter died down, he

replied. "I'm still pining over Lily. That's the only woman for me."

"You know what," said Nolan. "There were just two more people who had

questions. That gentleman and the lady there." The next questioner pointed out

that Dara was the Assistant D.A. not the D.A. "Well thank you Captain

Semantic," Nolan replied.

The fan then made a suggestion for Chris' love life. "My suggestion would be

Emma Caulfield, as Lorraine Miller. I think she'd be an excellent match for you."

"Really, what's she look like? How tall is she? Thank you very much. I'll give

Emma a call"

The last fan was Carol, who asked. "What I want to know, from mainly Wendy,

because I think she's the only one that knows, is the killer in this room? I mean

am I looking at him." Wendy just shrugged her shoulders.

"She's not gonna tell you," Nolan taunted. "Carol's not gonna find out tonight.

And neither are we. Here's another truth. Nobody up here knows. She's making a

lot of enemies."

Somebody asked Wendy if she even knew yet. "Is there going to be another

murder." Wendy was silent. "You're good. I must say."

"Thank you, everybody," said Nolan.

Then the actors went to have a little refreshment before the mingling. The

Nurses' Ball T-shirts that Lynn Herring had brought were raffled off. She

had gone directly to the manufacturers and purchased the shirts just for

the Fan Club parties. Some of the shirts had been handed out earlier as a

random act of kindness. They had the actors pull the tickets for the

twenty-two shirts raffled off.

Pat Crowley ushered up Susan Brown to pull the last one, "Gail, Susan,

Susan Gail,"

"She knew my name," said Susan, "When I first met Pat she had no idea

what my name was, so now I call her Hazel. Oh it's the last one. 6061439?"

Table fifteen, again won nothing.

Autograph Session

After the raffle the plan for the autograph session was outlined.

We would all remain sitting at our tables, and the actors would

come by and chat with us and give autographs. (In some circles

this is known as "The Wally Plan", used unsuccessfully at the

1995 GH Luncheon.)

The actors went out in clumps. One clump consisting of Michael

Dietz, Jay Pickett, Sarah Aldrich, Nolan North, and Lisa Ann

Hadley, came over to our side of the room. We stayed seated for

awhile. We took a few minutes to decide with whom we wanted an

interview. We settled on Anastasia Horne. But soon it became

obvious that none of the actors were going to be able to move

and come over to our table. Jay Pickett was well and truly trapped

right next to Table 16. Nolan was over next to the railing, and

Michael Dietz with Sarah Aldrich, had only made it as far as the

center steps.

Lisa Ann Hadley did come over to our table as she was trying to

move to the other side of the room. She gave us her autograph

and we took a picture of her with us and Christine. We told her

that we liked Julie better now than we had before. (True,

strictly speaking.) Lisa Ann said she enjoyed playing this

negative side of Julie.

One of us went over to ask Anastasia, while the other was

stuck over by Jay Pickett and continually asked to take

photos with other people's cameras. Anastasia was surprised

and flattered to be asked for an interview, and agreed to

meet with us a little later when things died down a little.

Ron Hale had appropriately taken up residence by the bar.

Julie Pinson was on the far side of the room with the largest

and most enthusiastic line. Jennifer Hammond, Peter Hansen

and Jeffrey Byron were in the center of the west side of

the room.

We talked to Susan Brown. We told her we were currently

from San Francisco, and she admitted that she's

originally from San Francisco. In fact it turns

out she was raised in the Neighborhood just above

ours.

Colton James (Neil) was the only actor foresighted

enough to bring his own 8x10 black and white pictures.

So we had him autograph one of those. We asked him

how old he was. He's ten.

Vanita Harbour was still down by the stage. Vanita was

being asked about the new Justus, Monti Sharpe. She

said she had worked with him before. Someone asked if

Joseph C. Phillips had been fired. She admitted he

had. TPTB had decided to take the character in a new

direction, but there's still going to be something of

a triangle with Dara, Justus and Taggert. But things

are going to heat up between Dara and Taggert.

We mentioned to Vanita that we had seen her in a musical

production "Blues In the Night" in Tucson, and enjoyed

that very much. She said that had been quite a while ago

and thanked us.

We got more autographs and took more pictures, until

things got a little less hectic. We found Anastasia and

took her outside to the registration table for her

interview. (See The Anastasia Horne Interview.)

When we came back some of the actors were leaving. Pat

Crowley, Michael Dietz and Sarah Aldrich. But some of

the actor were staying for the long haul. Jay Pickett

and Julie Pinson were still in place and in the third

corner was Nolan North. We remembered that since Jon

Lindstrom wasn't there somehow we had to get his Top

Ten Lists to him. Inspiration struck. Anastasia had

been working with Jon, should give them to him. We

asked her, and she happily agreed to.

After taking a few more pictures and looking at Jay

Pickett from our table, we went over to the circle of

people around Nolan. Lisa Ann Hadley came over and

gave Nolan a hug good-bye.

Nolan was telling a little story about how a one day

actor he'd been working with had had such bad breath

that he had difficulty not letting his reaction show

as he did the scene. That wasn't the sort of thing he

thought he should critcize in someone he'd just met.

But he said he'd feel free to mention it to any of the

regulars on the show. To prove this he shouted over to

Julie Pinson, something along the lines of, "hey, if

I told you had bad breath you'd take an altoid or

something wouldn't you." She agreed she would. Then

he asked, if she'd tell him he had bad breath and she

said, no, she wouldn't.

The person who had the "General Homicide" book asked

Nolan to sign it. He opened it up and looked at it.

He noticed it was a Star Trek novel. He proceeded to

do a pretty good imitation of William Shatner, and

suggested that Shatner spoke that way because he

hadn't quite memorized his lines.

Julie Pinson had managed to break away from the remains

of her line. She came over to say good-bye to Nolan.

They took a few pictures with fans, before she begged

off. Her feet were killing her, which was no wonder

since she had very high heels on. She left and Nolan

started making his way out, but only got as far as

the bar. Jay Pickett was now talking to a small crowd

gathered around him. Someone thanked him for staying

around so long, and Christine chided the absent Michael

Dietz for having left early. Jay Pickett suggested that

he could beat him up for her.

We found that Anastasia had accidentally left the

Top Ten lists on a table. Since Nolan was still by

the bar we handed them to him, and told him they were

for Jon and Anastasia had dropped them. He headed

for the back entrance. When he got there Anastasia

ran back in and over to the table. We intercepted

her and told her the lists were safe and Nolan had

them. She went over and got them back from him.

Jay Pickett was the last one out of the room. In fact

he left after we did.

The first annual Port Charles Fan Club dinner, was a

splendid success, and we intend to go back every year.

We had taken Anastasia out to the registration table for the

interview. As we were sitting down, some fans who were passing

by wanted an autograph. Since they asked an interesting question

we turned on the tape recorder.

Fan: Most of us knew you were come backing. You knew you were

coming back, didn't you?

Anastasia: Yeah, definitely.

T: You were doing other things while you were away right?

Anastasia: Yes, definitely.

T: You were on Teen Angel?

Anastasia: Yeah, Teen Angel, and I'm also going to college

right now.

T: Which College are you going to?

Anastasia: Cal Poly University

T: What's your major?

Anastasia: Theatre, but I'm actually thinking of switching

to Special Education, to become a teacher for Special Ed.

Should be fun.

T: How did you get the role on the show?

Anastasia: I just auditioned for it. My agent sent me

off to audition for it. Then I went to casting. I read with

the casting director and then I went to the Executive Producers

and that's how I got the role.

T: Did you know it would be such a big role when you got it.

Anastasia: Actually, it was only supposed to be a small role.

I was only supposed to work for about six months. I was only

supposed to work a couple days each month. And it turned into

I was working every day for awhile. I'm actually very thankful

for the way my role is going.

T: I think it's mostly the way you've been doing the role.

You've been getting more and more popular as time goes on.

Anastasia: I guess so. I don't know, but it's very fun to do.

I love my role.

T: What's your favorite part of working on Port Charles?

Anastasia: It's just working with everyone and not knowing

what's going to happen next. Like I really love doing those

little sneaking around things. I loved doing the suicide

scene. I loved smoking the pot. I love being the bad person.

It's very fun.

T: It's better than just being bland and good.

Anastasia: Exactly. And she also has very many sides to her.

Because she can also play a vulnerable side. She's also come

from a very hard life, so there's very many sides to her. It's

not just only the bitchy side. I love finding those sides.

T: You show them a lot.

Anastasia: Thank you.

T: Lark seems very genuine at times, and you know she's not

just trying to manipulate.

Anastasia: Exactly. She gets defensive sometimes because of

what's happened in the past. And she doesn't know how to

react to people and things.

T: Have they told you anything about the future? About your

role being larger?

Anastasia: No, I don't know what's going to happen.

T: So you don't think Lark's the killer then?

Anastasia: I could possibly be. You never know.

T: Do you watch the show yourself?

Anastasia: Yeah. I like to watch it, because I like to learn

from what I'm doing and learn from my mistakes, and hopefully

to improve. Watching the other characters you also learn a lot

from their acting skills and everything, how they act in the

way of performances.

T: Whose performances do you like?

Anastasia: I really like Julie Pinson. Jay Pickett I love.

Jon Lindstrom, I love working with him. Thre's just a few

characters on there you really have a connection with.

The majority of the cast, you always have a connection with.

each person in the cast, your own connection. But there's

a few, you're just like, "woh". That's an awsome scene.

T: You've only had the once scene with Jon Lindstrom?

Anastasia: Actually, we have some more scenes coming up. It

was really fun. We had a great time doing them. He's a

great guy to work with. I was very thankful for those.

T: We'll look forward to that then.

Anastasia: Yeah, it was fun.

T: What was your first role?

Anastasia: Kids Incorporated for a couple of years.

T: That was a kind of Disney Variety Show?

(See Photo below. Anastasia from her Kids Inc. Days.)

Anastasia: Yeah. It was like a Mickey Mouse Club kind of deal.

T: I notice a lot of people start out in the Children's

programming. Sarah Brown started out there. What would you

like to do?

Anastasia: I'm happy with where I'm at right now, but I'd

like to do Broadway. I like to do theatre. Which I am doing.

I'm doing a show right now. And I'd like to do the whole film

scene also.

T: What show are you doing?

Anastasia: Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I'm playing the role of the narrator.

T: Is it playing here?

Anastasia: It's playing in Upland, actually. It's about forty-five

minutes away from here.

T:You have time to do that?

Anastasia: Yeah, rehearsals at night and everything.

T: Is there any particular role that you'd like to do, that you

haven't done yet?

Anastasia: Well, there's a lot of musical roles that Iwould like

to play. Let me think. You caught me off gaurd there. I don't

know. Just anything that's challenging. I like to do Shakespeare.

Shakespeare would be a nice thing to do again. Just anything musical

theatre I would like to do. Any role.

T: You sing then?

Anastasia: Yes. That's actually where I'm more comfortable, doing

more singing than acting.

T: And they couldn't work you into the Nurses' Ball?

Anastasia: I don't know if they know I can sing or not. I

don't know.

T: It was a while before they knew that Vanita Harbour could

sing.

Anastasia: Exactly. It's not something you can just bring

out. "Hey, I sing!". It's kind of like, "That's great. How

do you incorporate that?"

(The person that won the General Homicide book, came along

at this point to ask for an autograph, and we offered to

buy it and threatened to mug her, and discussed that it was

the Star Trek novel Warped.)

T: Has it been strange for you, having people recognize you

from the show?

Anastasia: I was used to it from Kids Incorporated. It was

actually very funny, for Kids Incorporated I got lot of people

recognizing me. So it's not really a new thing for me. Just

a different show.

T: But for awhile there Lark was hated on this show. Was that

tough?

Anastasia: It's actually quite a compliment, because that means

I'm doing my job somewhat right.

(Some fans came by and asked for an autograph and asked a

question.)

Fan1: So is Lark setting poor Frank straight or is Frank going

to be a dopey.

Anastasia: I don't know. We'll have to find out.

Fan2: Who knows, maybe you're the General Homicide killer.

Anastasia: I might be.

Fans: No, no.

Anastasia: You never know.

Fan1: You don't know enough chemistry.

Anastasia: I'm an intelligent person.

T: She fooled Jake into thinking she was a medical student.

Anastasia: Exactly.

Fan2: This is true.

Fan1: I think they already blamed her once.

Anastasia: There's going to be some more blaming coming up.

Fan2: Do you really want Frank as your father?

Anastasia: Yeah, I do. Well, there's more tension between

there for something else.

Fan1: There's a little Oedipal complex there.

T: Want him for a father in a backwoods kind of way.

Fan2: Anymore killings coming up?

Anastasia: I don't know. I really don't know. So far

nothing. We'll find out.

T: Is the actor the last one they tell?

Anastasia: It depends.

T: So you're not dead for at least the next three weeks.

Anastasia: For right now I'm not the killer and I'm not dead.

You never know... next week.

Fan2: You're under contract, right?

Anastasia: No, I'm not actually.

T: Well, you should be.

(The fans said thank you to Anastasia, and left. Then "Mike" came

up and asked for an autograph.)

T: So what else did you do while you were on hiatus.

Anastasia: I was basically just going to college. I moved out.

I'm living with four of my soroity sisters right now. That was

a big challenge for me; moving out away from my parents.

T: What's the most challenging part of your work on Port

Charles?

Anastasia: One of the most difficult scenes for me was after

the suicide scene where I was going crazy. I was wanting to see

Frank and I was screaming and yelling and I had people holding

me down. That was really difficult to do. Scenes like that are

tough. The character is very tough to play because there are so

many sides to her.

T: Well, we better let you go now.

Anastasia: Thank you so much. It was nice meeting you guys.

T: Can we send you a copy of this at "Port Charles".

Anastasia: Yeah, definitely. Okay, bye you guys.
